Our company has designed and prototyped a 5 KW portable  / deployable solar power station that is useful as a reserve power source for police and fire departments, hospitals, government offices, communication centers and numerous other facilities and businesses. It is based on a sun-tracking solar panel array, batteries, AC power inverter and a supervisory computer. It can be considered an "always-on" power source for existing emergency backup systems.
